Do I have to know how to read music?
No. Beginners are welcome!
Do I need a guitar to learn the instrument?
Yes, you will need a guitar at home to take lessons. However, it doesn't have to be a high-end model—a basic acoustic or electric guitar will be sufficient for the first six months as you develop your skills.
How long does it take to learn how to play the guitar?
There's no set timeline for mastering the guitar, as it varies from person to person. However, with regular practice, you can achieve a basic level of playing within a few months. Many of our students continue taking lessons long-term because they enjoy the process of constant improvement and find the lessons both rewarding and enjoyable.
I don't have any musical background or ability. Can I still help my child practice?
Yes. Even if you don't have a musical background you can ask the teacher for advice on how to help your child practice. By simply monitoring that they are doing exercises a certain number of times per day the student will progress. Parents will occasionally sit in on their child's music lesson to get an idea of the proper way a song should sound or how the student should be positioning their hands.
